I'm not sure if this is a poem or what. Most of my creative writing starts as an attempt to write lyrics. Most of the time, what comes out is not fit for any song. This went much the same way. The initial idea came in a flood of thoughts at 1a.m. one night, two weeks back. From there on it was just stitching all the ideas together so that it made sense. So, here it is. It is a commentary on my own creative writing process.

In the past week, I have jumped in, and my experiences haven't at all been what I expect. I kept a small journal of those experiences, and what follows are snippets from the journal.
Experiments
March 1st - It became clear very early on that I would have to establish in my mind what counted as a rejection. For my first day of rejection attempts, I decided to ask people what they thought of a remix I had done. I walked around with iPod and headphones in hand. If someone would listen to even a second of the song, it counted as not being rejected. Six people listened to it before I was rejected.
Incredibly, the second guy I asked had participated in the exact same remix competition I had created the remix for. Keep Reading...
